The Montreal Scene

Montreal with it's larger population centre, compared to Quebec City, is a great blend of gritty urban, old world, financial, cultural, and multi-ethnicity. The apartment we rented is a block off bustling Boulevard Saint Laurent with it's many shops, stores, restaurants, and so on; just one of many great active funky colorful eclectic streets around the downtown area, all of which attracts a younger demographics or the young at heart. On a warm Friday evening, the sidewalks were teaming with people out and about, dining, drinking, walking, biking or just hanging out. To give you a sense of the city's funky streets, check out these colorful street murals.
